A subspecies of the Western Honey Bee, this bee is able to survive in a wide variety of climates. They are excellent foragers and swarm less often then Western Honey Bees. Though there are many advantages there are some downsides! They are susceptible to disease and consume their store at a higher rate. Once it has grown up it is mated with once. The Sullivant&#8217;s Milkweed is very similar to the appearance of normal milkweed. It&#8217;s origin is also from the prairie.\u00a0 There is also the Senna hebecarpa, which has bright yellow flowers. The Senna hebecarpa is a legume type plant.
