Caroling<\/strong> \u2013 Permission slips must be returned to school for your child to participate in the 3rd-8th grade Christmas caroling on Friday, December 12. Students are encouraged to bring Christmas hats to wear while caroling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Christmas Program <\/strong>\u2013 Still, Still, Still is the title of the 3rd\u20138th Grade Christmas Program<\/strong>. Here is what you need to know: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Classroom Christmas Party & Gift Exchange<\/mark><\/strong> Each 4th grader was sent the name and wish list of a classmate for whom to purchase a special book(s) for Christmas. It is important that everyone participate so as not to have anyone without a gift.<\/strong><\/em> Keep the gift-giver’s name anonymous because we do not want to reveal the gift-giver’s name until the gift is opened. You will need to write the name of the child who is to receive the gift on the wrapped book(s). You will want to write a note and place it in the book(s) to indicate who each book is from and who each is for. The cost for the gift should not exceed $10.00. Half Price Books is a great place to look! Wrapped books should be brought to school as soon as possible.<\/mark> <\/em><\/strong>Please get in touch with me if you have concerns or if this is a hardship for you. Student Arrival:<\/strong> Students should arrive by 5:45 PM<\/strong> and report to their homeroom classrooms.
Dinner:<\/strong> Dinner will be served from 4:45 to 5:45 PM<\/strong> in the lunchroom. The cost is a free-will donation<\/strong> supporting their Washington, D.C. trip. Dinner served will be Walking Tacos.
Attire:<\/strong> White tops and black bottoms<\/strong> *Boys must wear a white collared shirt<\/strong>
Reception:<\/strong> A cookie reception will follow the program.
Practice:<\/strong> Students have several parts they are learning. Please help them practice at home as we prepare to joyfully share the story of Jesus\u2019 birth. It is a blessing to celebrate this good news together and give glory to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our 4th grade Christmas Party will be held on Friday, December 19th from about 10:15 – 11:15.<\/strong><\/em> Parents are always welcome to attend! The party will be followed by clean-up and Early Dismissal at 11:30 am. A Big Thank You <\/em><\/strong>goes to our room mothers – Lisa Patch and Anelda Clancy who have been planning for our par<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Look for a Signup Genius link to be coming soon in your email and in next week’s Newsletter for setting your appointment time for our January Parent \/ Teacher Conference. There will be an Early Dismissal Day on Thursday, January 15th and No School on Friday, January 16th due to our conference scheduling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be one more Memory recitation due before the Christmas Break. Please be sure your child knows the verses of the assigned song to prepare for our Thursday night Christmas Program. There will be no new Spelling List until after Christmas. Merry Christmas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have finished reading the novel “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”<\/em> <\/strong>by Barbara Robinson. We are completing the workbook activities this next week. We will be taking a Vocabulary Test on Monday, December 15th. Please study the words and meanings with your child. Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please store your child’s December calendar in a safe place at home or in your child’s binder. It will be due on Friday, January 9th. Please help keep track of the minutes of reading your child does each day of the month. Your child will need to complete 600 minutes of reading outside of school hours to receive the Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza. Please support your child in taking on this project and completing it. Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
