Sixth graders led our chapel message teaching us to cast our anxieties on Jesus.\u00a0 Because Jesus loves us so much, He desires to carry our burdens for us and wants to protect and provide for us.\u00a0 The students performed two skits to show how much Jesus loves us – so much that He take away our worries, troubles, sickness, and needs\u00a0 in order to give us peace, joy, wellness, and contentment in Him. He was willing to take our punishment and death in order to give us new life in Him. Mr. Schkade assisted the students by playing the part of \u201cthe Rag Man,\u201d who represented Jesus by showing love, compassion, humility, and sacrifice. \u00a0 Mrs. Schkade led us in a fun song to teach us the Bible verse – 1 Peter 5:7:\u00a0 \u201cCast your burdens unto Jesus, for He cares for you.\u201d\u00a0 We were reminded to lift Jesus higher so that He can help us to \u201cstomp satan\u201d from our lives.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our students are perfecting their recitations, songs, character lines, and acting parts in order to prepare for our upcoming Christmas program. Please continue to help your child to review his\/her part using good voice levels, intonation, and voice expression. This is a joyful time of year, and we can\u2019t wait for you to come and hear the Good News!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All are welcome to attend our last Advent service for the year here at Hope\u2019s at 4:00 and 7:00 PM this Wednesday, December 18th.\u00a0 A delicious meal will be served between services, so please come and join us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
