Week at a Glance<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n This week in handwriting we wrote sentences about routines. in language we practiced doubling consonants before adding endings and learned the “j” sound spelled “g” and “dge”. In religion we learned about holy week and Jesus’ road to the cross. This week in math we practiced dividing shapes into equal halves and fourths. In reading we worked on comparative endings “-er” and “-est”. This week in science we studied the sun’s pattern of rising and setting. In social studies we learned about our rights and responsibilities as citizens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Schedule<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n April 18 \u2013 Good Friday \u2013 NO SCHOOL Talent Show<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hope\u2019s Talent Show will be Friday, April 25th at 2:00 pm. A permission slip went home last week in Thursday folders if your student is interested in sharing their talent. Please note that all talent performances must be under 5 minutes. Talent Show permission slips are due back to school no later than Thursday, April 17th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Easter Break<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hope will not have school on Friday, April 18th or Monday, April 21 in observance of Good Friday and Easter Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n You are invited to Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter services at Hope. Maundy Thursday services are at 4 pm and 7 pm. Good Friday services are at 5:30 pm and 7:15 pm. Easter Sunday services are at 8 am and 10:30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Make-Up Snow Days Cleaning Wipes and Tissues Water Bottles and Snacks<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Please continue to send your student to school with a water bottle and a snack each day. This helps them stay hydrated and have enough energy to keep up their learning throughout the whole school day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n International Fair<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are continuing to study Guatemala in preparation for the International Fair. <\/span>We have three snow days built into our calendar this year. We will be making up one day on April 25th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/span>Our class supply of Clorox wipes and tissues is almost out. If you can, please send in a container of wipes or box of tissues if you are able. Anything is appreciated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
