Dear Parents,
Week at a Glance
<\/span>This week in handwriting we are writing a friendly letter. In language we are adding details to sentence prompts. and learning about prefixes and suffixes. In religion this week we are learning about Jesus’ ascension into heaven and Pentecost. During reading we are learning about the diphthongs “ow” “ou” and “ai” “ay”. This week in science we are continuing to learn about how scientists ask questions to learn. In social studies we are finishing our chapter unit on American symbols.

May 22 – 8th Grade Graduation @ 7:00 pm

International Fair
<\/span>Hope’s International Fair is tonight, May 1st. Students must meet their teachers in their classrooms at 5:45. The event begins in the Family Life Center at 6:00 pm. All students are required to attend and participate. All tri-board projects will be completed at school. Students will not be giving speeches on their research due to the format of this year\u2019s academic fair.

Fine Arts Night
<\/span>Please save the date for Fine Arts Night on May 15th at 6:30 pm. Attendance is required as part of their music grade.

Water Bottles and Snacks
<\/span>Please continue to send your student to school with a water bottle and a snack each day. This helps them stay hydrated and have enough energy to keep up their learning throughout the whole school day.
