Dear Parents,

Week at a Glance
<\/span>This week in religion we are learning about Jesus’ appearances to His disciples after His resurrection. In handwriting we are reviewing our lowercase cursive letters. In science this week we are learning about landforms and bodies of water. We are working on our history fair projects during social studies time. In language we started diagramming subjects and verbs. We are finishing Charlotte’s Web in reading time and have been discussing how characters changed throughout the book. In math we are continuing our lessons on three-digit subtraction.

<\/span>Hope will not have school on May 1st since we did not have to use our allotted snow days this year.
American Royal Field Trip<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd grade is going to the rodeo on April 24th! Please look for an email from me in the next few days for details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All students will need to bring a booster seat<\/span> and a sack lunch<\/span>. We will eat lunch while we are there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may wear jeans and western shirts and cowboy boots if they so choose. Otherwise students should wear a Hope uniform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talent Show<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope will have our annual talent show on May 8th. If your child wishes to perform, they must fill out the permission slip that went home last week. The act must be approved by their teacher and parents must sign that they may participate. Permission slips for the talent show are due April 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating America 250 Years Fair (History Fair) – Please Read<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year our curriculum fair will celebrate 250 years of America. 2nd grade\u2019s research focus is on inventors. The research portion will be done at school. Your student will need your support to complete their 3D project. Students must choose one option but may choose additional options to present their research.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects are due at school on Monday, April 27th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
