Dear Hope Family,

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be
constant in prayer.

The Kansas Department of Health as well as the Johnson County Health Department are beginning to lift the stay at home orders. The Board of Elders voted not to resume attendance in the sanctuary until June due to the limits placed on gatherings by state and local officials. At this time, we are actively discussing how to resume church services. We are also receiving guidance from the Kansas District on our reopening.

Our plan is to do a gradual reopening. Although it would be nice to return to regular worship, fellowship and Bible study right away, the COVID related concerns may still persist. Let us live in grace, be respectful of others out of love for our neighbors, as our goal is their well-being in both body and soul. Look for more details on reopening the sanctuary in the coming weeks as the Board of Elders determines the best procedure. Until the time where we can worship together in the sanctuary, please continue to worship with us online each Sunday morning.

When we resume gathering at Hope, we are not planning fellowship, Sunday School or Bible study between church services until a later date. We encourage you to continue self-study and family study at home. Please contact the church office if you need study materials or suggestions.

Please also use the online giving as needed, or you can bring your offerings to church at any time. If you have any questions, please contact your assigned elder.

Peace be with you,

Mark Kreis
