Newsletter – August 24th

August 23, 2023

Welcome to the 8th Grade Homeroom newsletter!

In each newsletter this year, I am going to ask you to pray a specific prayer for your child. Our class prays everyday for others, including you parents, so I would like to invite you to pray for specific parts of your child’s school year.
The prayer for this week is: Ask God to help your child to be kind.
We are working on building positive relationships, so this prayer is a big one for us. One of our key Bible verses is Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Its words remind us that we are all sinners who need forgiveness and grace.

Our school theme is “Connected” with our verse of “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.“–John 15:1-5.
Chapel offerings will go to Lead a Child for 1st quarter.

Please have permission slips returned by Tuesday, September 5.

Our second field trip will be on Tuesday, September 26 to Timber Ridge Outdoor Education. We will need parent drivers for this trip! Be advised that the health waiver needs to be completed on BOTH sides. If you are planning to drive students and join us for the day at Timber Ridge, you will also need to complete a health waiver.
