Newsletter – September 28th

September 27, 2023

Welcome to the 8th Grade Homeroom newsletter!

In each newsletter this year, I am going to ask you to pray a specific prayer for your child. Our class prays everyday for others, including you parents, so I would like to invite you to pray for specific parts of your child’s school year.
The prayer for this week is: Ask God to help them grow this year.
Obviously, our children’s bodies and minds are growing, but ask God to help them to grow and foster positive relationships with peers, teachers, and family. Ask God to help them grow in their willingness to help and love others, even when it is hard. Ask God to help them to ask for forgiveness when they offend someone, and to truly forgive others when they need it. Most importantly, ask God to put in their hearts the desire to grow in faith in Jesus. “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52.

Our school theme is “Connected” with our verse of “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.“–John 15:1-5.
Chapel offerings will go to Lead a Child for 1st quarter. Please encourage your child to bring offering each week. It is a good way for them to remember the blessings they have and to share those blessings with others. “Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.” Proverbs 14:31.

Thank you to all the parents who came to conferences last week. It was good to see you and let you know how your child is doing. The 8th graders and I appreciate your support.
