“No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.”

Our school theme is “Connected” with our verse of “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.“–John 15:1-5.
Chapel offerings for 4th quarter will go to the Guatemala Mission Trip. Please encourage your child to bring offering each week. It is a good way for them to remember the blessings they have and to share those blessings with others. “Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.” Proverbs 14:31.

Graduation Photo Boards – Photo boards need to be completed and returned to school by Monday, May 20th.

Finals – 8th Grade Finals schedule:

Fine Arts Night – We are excited about the opportunity to showcase our Arts department on Thursday, May 9th at 6:30 pm.  Our music directors have worked with the students all year on music theory, rhythm, and voice.  During the evening, the choirs, bands, recorders, and ASL club will be performing music, and the members of the Spring Play will perform a scene from The Pony Expresso.  Mrs. Bird’s art class projects will be displayed around the building, and families will be invited to an Open House where they can enjoy the art projects done by the students.

Only students who are in Band, ASL club, the Spring Play, or have been assigned to help as emcee must attend. Students need to arrive at 6:15 pm and meet their teacher in their classroom. After the music performance, students return to their classrooms where the parents pick them up.  8th grade students are to wear white tops and black bottoms.  There will be a cookie reception after the program in the commons.

Art Projects – During Fine Arts Night, we will also have a Silent Auction with the class art projects.  You can bid on them using this link: Class Art Projects. Here is the 8th grade collaborative lion, colored with acrylic markers in a 18″ x 24″ black frame.
