Upcoming Field Trip – Red Barn Farm (October 7)
We’re excited to announce a field trip to Red Barn Farm in Western Missouri on October 7 with the Kindergarten and First Grade blended class. Permission slips will be sent home in this week’s Thursday folders.

If you’re interested in helping by driving students to and from the farm, please let me know. I’ll be gathering more information and ensuring all necessary background checks can be completed in time. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours!

Volunteer Hours
I know some parents may not be able to give time during the school day. The good news is that donating items (like snacks, treasure box prizes, etc.) can count toward your service hours!

I’ll be putting together a wish list of classroom items soon and will send that out later this month. This is a simple and helpful way to support our class if you’re unable to volunteer in person.

Home Practice Resources
I haven’t sent much “extra work” home this week as I’ve been gathering resources that are meaningful and helpful for students to use at home.

If you’d like specific activities or materials for your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d be happy to suggest resources you can use at home or send materials with your student.

Some students brought home sight words and handwriting worksheets, if they’re helpful, wonderful! If not, that’s okay too. Every child learns differently, and I’m happy to help find what works best for your student.
