Hello, Families!
I hope you’re all having a blessed and joyful week!
I heard the Fall Carnival was a wonderful success! A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing Room Moms and parents who donated prizes and volunteered their time to help everything run smoothly. We truly appreciate your support and dedication!

What’s Happening in the Classroom?
Religion
We’ve begun learning about Joseph and his story. Next week, we’ll be moving on to the story of Moses.
Math
We are wrapping up Unit 2 this week:
- Review: Wednesday, September 10
- Unit Evaluation: Thursday, September 11
You can support your child at home by reviewing numbers 0–5 to help prepare them for the next unit.
In Unit 3, we’ll focus on:
- Counting and comparing numbers 0–5
- Introduction to the Five Senses
Vocabulary to review at home:
Count, order, before, after, equal, greater than, less than, ordinal number (e.g., “first,” “second,” “third”)
A quick review of the five senses will also be helpful!
Literacy
We are continuing our work on vowels and focusing on the letters L, T, and M.
Handwriting
We’re finishing up basic line practice and moving into letter formation—which will support letter recognition and early writing skills.
Social Studies
This week, we are learning about important community helpers like nurses, teachers, and doctors.
Classroom Needs
I will be creating an Amazon Wishlist and sending out the link later this week to help avoid duplicate purchases. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Treasure Box Prizes are also appreciated if you’d like to donate.
Reminder
Please continue practicing sight words, letter sounds, and letter recognition at home. This foundation is so important as we prepare to begin reading!
The class is doing an excellent job this week! I’m seeing real growth in transitions, rule-following, and meeting classroom expectations. I’m so proud of them and excited for what’s ahead!
