What We’re Learning
Math
We are focusing on comparing numbers using the terms greater than, less than, and equal to, as well as understanding ordinal positions (before, after) with numbers 0–5. To make learning more engaging, I’ve been incorporating movement and counting activities. Here’s a fun video you can try at home with your child:

Social Studies
We are continuing our unit on community workers and learning how they serve and benefit our communities.
Sight Words
We are practicing sight words listed on the sheet in your child’s pink folder. Working on these words at home is very helpful, sight words are best learned through consistency and repetition.
Focus words (first column):
I, can, we, the, a, did, am, help, too, has, one
Please remember, every child learns at their own pace! Some of these words can be tricky because of blends and digraphs (ch, th, sh, etc.). With steady practice, your child will continue to grow in confidence.
Phonics & Letter Sounds
We have been using movement and music to make phonics fun and memorable. Below are some excellent (and free!) resources you can use at home. Leapfrog and Jack Hartman offer a variety of engaging academic videos and games for both phonics and math practice.

Thank you, as always, for your support at home. It makes such a difference in your child’s learning journey! Have a blessed week and fall break, as always reach out with any questions.
