Merry (early) Christmas, everyone! 🎄
We have been very busy in the classroom, not only with academics, but also with Christmas crafts and meaningful conversations about what Christmas is truly about: the birth of Jesus. The class has had a wonderful last two weeks, and I am so proud of each and every student for their growth and overall development this semester. I am already looking forward to beginning again in January.
I hope you are all staying healthy during this time. As many of you know, there is a pretty icky illness going around the school, so we have been practicing coughing and sneezing into our elbows, washing hands regularly, and using hand sanitizer as needed throughout the day.
I do not have much new to share academically, as this week has focused on wrapping up and finalizing units. I have been pulling students for one-on-one assessments to track growth from the first quarter, and I look forward to sharing their progress with you during our upcoming parent-teacher conferences.
I will not be sending any work home over break, as this is a time to relax and enjoy family time. However, if you would like materials sent home for optional practice, I would be happy to put something together, just let me know.
The class and I are very excited for our class party on Friday! Thank you so much to our room moms for coordinating, and thank you to everyone who has purchased items or plans to come in to help.

Other Important Notes
- Parent-Teacher Conference Sign-Up:
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050849A5A628A0FE3-61313298-january#/ - Please remember to send your child with chapel offerings every Wednesday. During the second quarter, offerings are going toward the Christmas Families. So far, we have collected $319.80.
- As weather conditions continue to change and get colder, please ensure your child brings a jacket to school each day. Per Hope’s recess policy, students must have an extra layer when the temperature is below 50 degrees. This must be a jacket, not a sweatshirt.
- Please label your child’s jacket with their name in case it is misplaced.
Thank you for your continued support, and I wish you all a joyful and blessed Christmas break!
