Hello families,
I hope your week is going well and that everyone is staying healthy and warm during this time of year.
Happy 100th Day of School! 🎉
I am so excited to celebrate this special day with the class. I have lots of fun activities planned, and I can’t wait to enjoy them together!
Math
We have officially begun addition, and the class is doing fantastic! Students are understanding the concept and doing a great job participating, asking questions, and staying engaged during lessons. I am looking forward to incorporating more manipulatives soon to encourage hands-on learning and help students really grasp these new skills.
Reading
Reading groups are really coming together! Each day, students are improving in staying on task and completing what is asked of them. We are also enjoying reading a short story together about The Gingerbread Man.
Writing
We are continuing to work on names and numbers in handwriting. We will finish our remaining letters next week!
Science
We are still working on our Earth and Sun unit. The class continues to show great interest in science and the solar system.
Social Studies
This week we are learning about Peru!
Religion
We are now learning stories from the New Testament. The class loves learning about Jesus and the miracles He performed while He was on Earth, as well as how He continues to perform miracles today.
We will begin Memory work next week. This will be done in class, but I will post the verse so you may practice at home if you would like.
