Hello everyone!
I hope you are all having a blessed and productive week. October has been a calm month so far, but our class continues to stay busy and grow in so many wonderful ways!
Math
We’ve moved on to Chapter 4, where we’re learning about the numbers 6–10. Our vocabulary words for this chapter are count, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. We’re also continuing to work on understanding order, before, after, most, and fewest.
Handwriting
In handwriting, students are practicing both uppercase and lowercase letters, focusing on correct formation, identification, and alphabetical order.
Literacy
We are continuing to build our letter-sound knowledge and practice blending letters together. This week, we’re reading a short story about libraries and beginning to explore informational text.
Social Studies
We just wrapped up our unit on community helpers and are starting a new one on work and U.S. geography. Students will be learning about the four directions (north, east, south, and west) and discovering the diversity that makes up the United States
