Hello everyone!
I hope you are all having a blessed and productive week. October has been a calm month so far, but our class continues to stay busy and grow in so many wonderful ways!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math<\/strong>
<\/strong> We\u2019ve moved on to Chapter 4, where we\u2019re learning about the numbers 6\u201310. Our vocabulary words for this chapter are count, six, seven, eight, nine,<\/em> and ten.<\/em> We\u2019re also continuing to work on understanding order, before, after, most,<\/em> and fewest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Handwriting<\/strong>
<\/strong> In handwriting, students are practicing both uppercase and lowercase letters, focusing on correct formation, identification, and alphabetical order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Literacy<\/strong>
<\/strong> We are continuing to build our letter-sound knowledge and practice blending letters together. This week, we\u2019re reading a short story about libraries and beginning to explore informational text.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social Studies<\/strong>
<\/strong> We just wrapped up our unit on community helpers<\/em> and are starting a new one on work and U.S. geography.<\/em> Students will be learning about the four directions (north, east, south, and west) and discovering the diversity that makes up the United States<\/p>\n\n\n\n
