Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful and blessed week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our class has had a great week so far! The students have been working hard and continue to make wonderful progress. While there isn\u2019t too much new to report from the classroom, we do have several exciting things coming up as October wraps up and November begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We recently finished our fourth math unit and will move on to Unit 5 on Friday after a review day. I\u2019ll send home a list of review words for you to go over together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In reading, we\u2019re continuing to practice our sight words and read short stories as a class. The students are becoming more confident in their abilities each week, it\u2019s been great watching them grow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In writing, we\u2019re focusing on a few letters at a time, and I\u2019m seeing wonderful improvement in handwriting and letter formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Social Studies, we\u2019ve been learning about America and simple aspects of American history. The students are really enjoying discovering new facts about our country and the people who helped shape it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next week, we\u2019ll begin our Science unit! I\u2019m looking forward to exploring some fun, hands-on learning with the class!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the weather continues to get colder, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. We will still go outside even if the temprature drops below freezing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019re also entering the time of year when colds and flu are more common. Please remind your child about healthy habits such as: washing hands often, coughing or sneezing into their elbow, and avoiding putting items in their mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you all for your continued support and for sharing your wonderful children with me each day. They are such a blessing to teach, and it\u2019s a joy to see God\u2019s love shine through them in the classroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
