Hi all, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to give the class another shoutout for working hard and meeting expectations! While we still have some challenging moments, it is truly a day-and-night difference from a few months ago. I\u2019ve loved watching the students grow this year, not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also want to thank all of you for everything you do for our classroom and for trusting me this year. I know it can be hard, especially with a first-year teacher, so I truly appreciate all of your support and trust!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math:<\/strong>
<\/strong>This week we are starting to learn about clocks and telling time. We are focusing on telling time to the hour (12:00, 1:00, etc.). While this can be challenging, the curriculum keeps it simple and age-appropriate.
I also wanted to apologize, I was unable to find or create worksheets before break due to how hectic things were. I will work on getting some sent home soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next week, we will be diving into counting change! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social Studies:<\/strong>
<\/strong>We are working on our class project for the 250 Years of America celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science:<\/strong>
<\/strong>This week we will be learning about the five senses. We introduced it briefly before break, but now we will dive deeper into the concepts. Students will participate in hands-on activities and explore how their senses work together to help keep us safe. I\u2019m very excited about this unit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading & Writing:<\/strong>
<\/strong>We have started reading groups again after the busyness of NLSW and spring break. The students are doing a great job and continue to grow each day. I am still seeing some challenges with vowel teams, so we are spending extra time practicing and reinforcing those skills.
We are also working on reading short sentences, which can be tricky, but I\u2019ve been very impressed with their determination!
In writing, we are continuing our journals. I have seen such a big improvement in handwriting from the first and second quarters to not, it\u2019s amazing to see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Religion:<\/strong>
<\/strong>This week we are learning about Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, and Jesus\u2019 resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
