Happy Epiphany!  What a joy to focus on the greatest gift of all!  May we seek the Savior as the wise men did so many years ago. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the Christmas break and is looking forward to the blessings of this new year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/mark>I would like to thank you for the generous Christmas gifts, cards, prayers, support, and messages of Christmas cheer.  I am overwhelmed by your generosity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are off and running in 2026! January will be a busy month. This week, we are getting back into routine and focusing on reviewing first-semester concepts, the end of the Christmas season, and moving into the season of Epiphany. We still have our postponed Christmas program tonight and our Christmas party tomorrow afternoon (parents are welcome to attend). Next week, we will continue our unit on plant science, learn more about Asia in social studies, and continue with historical fiction in reading. In math, we continue working on multiplication facts and move into division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Program Tonight!<\/mark><\/strong>\u2013 Still, Still, Still\u00a0is the title of the 3rd\u20138th Grade Christmas Program<\/strong>. Here is what you need to know:
Thursday, January 8 at 6:00 PM
Student Arrival:<\/strong>\u00a0Students should arrive by\u00a05:45 PM<\/strong>\u00a0and report to their homeroom classrooms.
Dinner Opportunity:<\/strong> Join us at\u00a0Panda Express (across from Hope)<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a04:00\u20139:00 PM<\/strong>.
This fundraiser supports the\u00a08th-grade Washington, D.C., trip.
Attire:<\/strong>\u00a0White tops and black bottoms<\/strong>\u00a0*Boys must wear a white collared shirt<\/strong>
Reception:<\/strong>\u00a0A cookie reception will follow the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parent\/Teacher conferences are coming up quickly. Thank you to those who have already chosen a conference time. These conferences are mandatory. Report cards will be shared during conferences. This week was uncommonly warm, but the rest of January could be very different! Rain and snow are in the forecast. (It is now winter after all.) Please make sure that your child is ready for the colder weather as well. We will go outside for recess whenever possible to get fresh air. (We will not go outside when the temperatures drop into the lower teens or the wind chill is in the single digits. I don\u2019t want to be out then either!) We will, however, go out when it is freezing temperatures. Hats, gloves or mittens, and a warm coat are important \u2013 even when we are only outside for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
