Parents are encouraged to come to visit their child\u2019s classroom for next year. Open House is open to anyone interested in attending Hope next year. We look forward to seeing you and new faces, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Choir performances<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The 3rd &#8211; 5th Grade choir will be singing this Sunday, February 22nd, at the 10:30am service.<br>Please arrive at 10:15am and meet in the Luther room.\u00a0 Please wear your Sunday best.<br>If you are not able to attend, please email Mrs. Schkade (<a href=\"mailto:schkade@hopelutheran.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">schkade@hopelutheran.org<\/a>).<br><strong>Hope Lutheran Church is a great support to our school, and this Sunday, we give thanks for that support. We would like to see as many students attend church as possible.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Feb. 22, Grades 3-5 choir will sing at Hope\u2019s 10:30 service. On March 8, all K-8 students will be singing and\/or playing in band at Hope\u2019s church services to kick off National Lutheran Schools Week. <strong>It is very important that as many students as possible attend these performances<\/strong>, <strong>because we work hard in band and choir to make our voices and instruments blend and balance.<\/strong> If you have a family or church conflict that prevents your child from attending, please email Mrs. Schkade and your child\u2019s homeroom teacher.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Book report<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 Project information and rubric for our biography book reports were sent home in the envelopes last month. I have included the links in this week\u2019s news again for your convenience. For this book report, they will be making a timeline of their person.&nbsp; Students have access to colored paper in the classroom for this project, if needed. This is an opportunity for students to be involved in a way they enjoy and to serve the congregation that supports our school in so many ways. Student helpers can stay with me after school, and I will accompany them to the sanctuary and stay with them until after the service.&nbsp;Please use this Sign-Up Genius to indicate which service(s) your child could be available to serve. It is not expected that your child serve every week, but please indicate any\/all weeks that it would be possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;We really need more to sign up! Once the kids serve in this way, they usually ask if they can do so again. &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/60B0B4DABAE2DA13-61601267-lenten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lenten student usher sign-up<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Redo\/Corrections Policy reminder&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Assignments that receive less than 75% are eligible for a redo.
