Thank you for taking the time to read the weekly Middle School Scoop! We know that this is a busy time of the year and are excited to enter into the fall season this second quarter. As a reminder, please make sure your student is here on time each day to make sure they are ready to begin the day. Eligibility will begin in two weeks as we enter the winter sports season.
First Quarter Report Cards
Report cards will be sent home today, October 23rd, in Thursday Folders. Report cards come in a white envelope. Please sign the front of the envelope, take out the report card, and return the envelope unsealed tomorrow, Friday, October 24th.
Trunk or Treat
Hope Lutheran’s trunk or treat will be this Friday, October 24th, from 5:30 PM- 7:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
Operation Christmas
Our school has 200 boxes that we hope to fill and send out by November 12th. We are encouraging each student to take home a box to help those in need this holiday season. In addition, our classrooms will also each be making a box. The 7th graders will be collecting items for a boy and the 8th graders will be collecting boxes for a girl. Please check with your classroom teacher to find information on the Signup Genius for these items. Thank you for helping us share Christ’s love this holiday season!
Lutheran High
We had a wonderful visit at Lutheran High on Tuesday! If you are interested in learning more about Lutheran High, they have a few upcoming Open Houses:
- Nov 7 @ Lutheran High 4:30pm -6:30pm
- Nov 8 @ Downtown Library 10am-noon

STUCO Dress Down Day
Student Council is hosting a non-uniform day next Thursday, October 30th to raise funds for their upcoming project. Students may dress in non-uniform clothing for $2 and can add a hat for an additional $1. Students who want to wear a hat must also participate in the non-uniform clothing.
Veterans’ Day
We are honoring veterans with a Veterans’ Day breakfast on November 11th. Our choirs will be singing a song during the event. If you or any family members have served, we would love to invite you to join us!
Weather and Recess
As we enter into cooler weather, we wanted to remind you of the policies in place. Students need to wear a sweatshirt or jacket outside when the weather is between 40-50 degrees. They will need a winter coat on days that are 39 degrees or below. Students who do not have a jacket or coat will be asked to sit outside of the school office while the class is at recess.
Coat Drive
Cub Scout Pack 3050 is hosting our annual Cub Scout Coat Drive. This will run from Tuesday, September 30th, to October 28th. Please bring your New or Gently Used donations and put them in the barrels at the School Entrance and in the Narthex. Suggested items are coats, hats, gloves, boots, scarves, thermal layers, and space heaters.
Dessert Dash
If you need volunteer hours, a great way to do that is to participate in our dessert dash! We will be auctioning deserts during the auction. The desserts do not need to be homemade. PAHS AUCTION
Our Annual Hope Lutheran PAHS auction is on November 8th. Money raised in our auction goes toward Art, Music, Spanish, and technology. If you can donate something to the auction this year, bring it by and drop it off in the school office. Please note items must be new. Help us make this year’s auction a huge success!
