I know this is a busy time of year, so thank you for taking time to read our weekly newsletter!
Congratulations to all the athletes at the MBHC tournament this past weekend! I know that everyone tried their best and showed Christian sportsmanship during the event. Thank you to the students and parents that also volunteered their time for various parts of the event. We had a great turnout for our bake sale as well that led to an amazing shopping trip Tuesday!
Here are a few reminders for the week:
- Finals start today, December 11th. Students should bring their Chromebook fully charged each day.
- Friday updates- After the Stony Brook field trip, we will return to school and have a small snack before walking to the Ford dealership. All students welcome to bring their own snacks. We will eat lunch once we return from caroling. There will be no hot lunch served, so all students must bring a lunch from home. Please have your student wear a Santa or Christmas hat.
- Chromebooks and chargers must be turned in next Thursday, December 18th after our last final. Please make sure your student has both items that day.
- Please have your student in the classroom by 5:45 next Thursday, December 18th for our Christmas program. All students should wear black pants and a white top. Boys must wear shirts with a collar. Dinner will be served at 4:45 with a free will donation to benefit the Washington DC trip.
- Christmas parties will take place Friday, December 19th at 10:15. You are welcome to attend! We will be watching the movie, Elf. Please see the email sent to for more information and to contribute to the event.
- We will have a spirit week next week before we go on Christmas break!
- Monday- Ugly Christmas sweater with uniform bottoms
- Tuesday- Christmas pajamas
- Wednesday- Red and green shirts with uniform bottoms
- Thursday- Christmas hats
- Friday- Christmas tshirt with uniform bottoms
- Conferences- please make sure to sign up for a conference in January. These are mandatory and students must attend. Conferences will take place the week of the Cedar Rapids basketball tournament.
