Thank you again for your participation and partnership with us at parent teacher conferences. We hope you enjoyed your extended weekend! Congratulations to all the 7th and 8th grade athletes that showed great sportsmanship and played their best at the Cedar Rapids tournament this past weekend. We are grateful for everyone having safe travels home. We will continue to pray for a successful second semester! As a reminder, eligibility for this semester has started and will be reported each Tuesday morning.
6th – 8th Singing at Church this Sunday
The 6th through 8th grade choir is singing at the 10:30 am church service on Sunday, January 25th. Students should arrive at 10:15 in the Luther Room to warm up. Please email your homeroom teacher and Mrs. Schkade if you have prior commitments.

Quiz Bowl
Think fast? Love learning? This is for you!
If you’re in grades 6–8 and enjoy knowing a little (or a lot!) about anything—math, sports, the Bible, science, books, or even random “weird stuff”—Quiz Bowl needs you!
Join our Quiz Bowl Team for practices from 3:45–4:30 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, starting next week (January 20 & 23). We’ll also practice on Wednesday, January 21, and Thursday, March 5.
Busy schedule? No problem! You don’t have to attend every practice—come when you can. The more you participate, the sharper you’ll be.
Our Spring Quiz Bowl competition will take place on the afternoon of March 9, starting near the end of the school day.
Quiz Bowl is fast-paced, fun, and fascinating, and it’s a great way to challenge yourself, work as a team, and show what you know.
