Wow! A full week has gone by! It’s been an exciting time of learning and growth already. I’ve enjoyed getting to know your students this past week and sharing joyful moments with them. I also appreciated everyone coming out for Back to School Night on Tuesday!
MAP Testing:
- We will begin MAP testing next week! Please make sure your child is prepared by getting enough sleep and eating breakfast.
Math:
- Fundamentals (7th Grade) We are reviewing integers in our first unit! Our first quiz is next Thursday.
- Foundations (8th Grade) We have been revisiting rational and irrational numbers this week.
Science:
- This week is our introduction to physical science with an exploration of scientific inquiry, tools, and our first case study! We will have a hands-on experiment during STEM time next week and will receive a study guide for our test on the short unit, which will be given on Wednesday.
STEM:
- In stem, both classes are exploring AI- how it works, how it’s made, and how to use it correctly! In the advanced world of technology we live in, it is important that our students know how to appropriately use the tools that are available.
Reminders:
- Snack time will be in the afternoon since our lunch is at 11:00.
