Middle School Scoop 9/26 – 10/2

Support Hope Lions! Many middle school students are also athletes. There are a few games this weekend that we can cheer on our Hope athletes. Please see below for information about soccer and volleyball. 

8th grade recognition is on Saturday, September 28th for both soccer and volleyball. 

Help is always appreciated at the home games. If you are coming to support our athletes, please consider helping out where needed.

Chapel Offering Please send your child with a chapel offering every Wednesday. The chapel offering for the first quarter is supporting LUMA. Use this link to learn more! https://www.lumakc.org/

Choir – On Sunday, September 29, the 6th and 7th graders will be singing at the 10:00 church service. Please make sure your student is in the Luther Room by 9:45 am to begin preparing.

Picture Day – Picture day is Thursday, October 3. Students do not need to wear the school uniform, but need to wear something school appropriate. Students must change into their school uniform after their pictures have been taken, only if they are wearing non uniform top and bottom. If the student is just wearing a non uniform top, they do not need to change.

Sports Pictures – Sports pictures are also taking place Thursday, October 3rd. Please make sure that your student brings their sports uniform that day, Miss Ernstmeyer will collect the athletes and allow them to change before they get their pictures.

Food Collection – October 14th – 18th, Hope will host its annual can food drive. The middle school will be offering incentives this year to help our participation. Be on the lookout for what incentives we will be offering this year.

STUCO – STUCO meetings will take place on the first Friday of every month, the first one this year is Friday, October 4th at 7:25 am.
