End of the First Quarter
The end of the first quarter is tomorrow, Friday, October 18th. All absent, missing, or incomplete work should be turned in today Thursday, October 17th. 

Friday, October 18th is an early dismissal at noon. There is no extended care. 

Lutheran High School Permission Slips
Tuesday, October 22 the middle school students will be visiting Lutheran High and touring the school. Thank you to those of you that volunteered to drive, Miss Mondary will be emailing parents to let them know if they are driving.

Trunk-or-Treat
Trunk-or-Treat is going to be held on Friday, October 25th in the parking lot. If you would like to host a trunk, please email Miss Mondary. We look forward to a fun event for all ages! 

Spelling Bee
The all school spelling bee will be on November 20th. We will be doing the class (7th and 8th by grade) spelling bee the first week of November. 

Food Drive – Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat  The Board of Youth Ministries for the Church is collecting canned items that will be donated to Shawnee Community Services. Collection of items will be from October 14th – 18th. Suggested items to donate are canned fruits and vegetables, rice, pasta, peanut butter, etc. Students can earn incentives from their homeroom teacher if they bring items in.

  • Friday, October 18th – Early Dismissal – Noon – No extended care
  • Friday, October 18th – End of 1st Quarter
  • Monday, October 21st – Pre-Algebra Chapter 3 Test
  • Thursday, October 24th – Science Test Red and Gold

We are thrilled to invite your 8th grade students to SMSD Northwest High School’s annual parochial school informational session and tour on Tuesday, November 12th, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover the exciting possibilities that await them here. They will get to hear about our academic programs, meet our dedicated academic counselors, and experience firsthand the unique spirit of our school community.

We can’t wait to welcome the students and answer any questions they may have. To help us prepare for this event, we kindly ask participants to register in advance. However, rest assured, we will warmly welcome everyone, even if they haven’t registered. Registering simply helps us better anticipate the number of attendees.
