D.C. Trip –

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

We are excited to begin preparations for our upcoming Washington, D.C. trip! Due to travel arrangements and our partnership with another Lutheran school, the trip has been rescheduled to May 5th–8th. On Friday, May 9th, the students will have a day off.

A packet of important paperwork will be sent home in this week’s Thursday packet. Please review, complete, and return all necessary forms by Thursday, February 27th.

We will hold a parent meeting on Tuesday, April 15th, at 5:30 PM in the 7th-grade classroom to go over trip details and answer any questions. Miss Mondary and I will be the chaperones accompanying the students.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to a fantastic trip!

International Fair Costume – I have found a German costume on amazon that I believe will work. Students will need a white shirt to wear under the costume.

International Fair Room Moms – I will need your help for the International Fair. I will need help passing out food and stamping passports. If you could trade off every at 30 minutes and help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Eligibility – Make sure your student has at least a 75% so they can be eligible for extracurricular activities include all athletic, Spring Play, and non-athletic school sponsored clubs. Band, Chess Club, and Lego Club are excluded from eligibility requirements.

Memory:

March 31
Matthew 8:14-15 And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law
lying sick with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose
and began to serve him.

April 2

Matthew 8:16-17 That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by
demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses
and bore our diseases.”
