Newsletter – August 17th

August 16, 2023

Welcome to the 7th grade newsletter, I hope you’ve had an amazing summer!

Mr. McCarthy’s Biography:
This is my 2nd year teaching and my first year at Hope Lutheran. I will be teaching Foundations of Algebra part I and II, 6th grade World History, 4th grade Science, and an elective. I just moved to Kansas from Asheville, North Carolina where I lived for the past 18 years. Some of my favorite things are hiking, most sports, traveling, watching movies, and music. I also enjoy history and going to museums . I attend Hope Lutheran Church and am happy that God has led me to Hope Lutheran so I can continue to share the love of Jesus with my students and families.

Our school theme is “Connected” with our verse of “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.“–John 15:1-5.
Chapel offerings will go to Lead a Child for 1st quarter.

Thursday envelopes will go home the first day. Please review and sign any papers in the envelope, sign the envelope, and return it to school on Friday.

Your child will be bringing home the Middle School Policy Guide in their Thursday envelope. Please read through them and sign and return the back pages of each guide by Friday. Students will not be allowed to bring Chromebooks home until the Policy Guide form has been returned.
