Friday, Oct. 10 – Psalm 6:1-2; Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    nor discipline me in your wrath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introduction to the Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Father who art in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does this mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these words God tenderly invites us to believe that He is our true Father and that we are His true children, so that with all boldness and confidence we may ask Him as dear children ask their dear father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, Oct. 17 – Psalm 9:1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 I will be glad and exult in you;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 When my enemies turn back,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    they stumble and perish before[c] your presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 For you have maintained my just cause;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    you have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, Oct. 24 – Psalms 12:1-2 & Matthew 8:2-3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Everyone utters lies to his neighbor;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 8:2-3 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
