Newsletter Week 9/26

September 25, 2024

STARBASE: Thank you to all the drivers for the 5 weeks of STARBASE! It is so appreciated that you took the time to transport the 5th grade class to such an amazing field trip. We were given some 3D printed key rings as a keepsake, and in your child’s Thursday Folder is a flyer of different resources that are interesting.

Thursdays: Now that STARBASE is over, we will be having normal Thursday schedules moving forward. What does that mean for you? We have PE on Thursdays, and your child will be bringing home their uniforms to be washed on Thursdays for the next week. We will also be able to have our second choir time during the week and our Spanish time!

Parent Teacher Conferences: Thank you for signing up for Conferences. There were many fruitful conversations about the progress in fifth grade this year! Please continue to be in communication with me throughout the year as we watch your child progress in 5th grade.

Novel Study- We will be starting our first novel study next week. We will be reading Bud, Not Buddy and you can expect some reading homework in the evenings. This will count for their 20 minutes of reading time, as well.
