Pastor Mueller led chapel with a reading about being able to have joy in all that we do, including our hard work. He knew a janitor from his middle school days that would say the phrase, “here we are at the beach once more.” He would use this phrase when he was doing hard work to have the joyful mindset in his work. Pastor engaged the students by asking them what they wanted to be when they grow up, and every answer was an important job where God gives talents to people to be in those professions. We can see God’s blessings in all that we do, whether it’s as a student, a veterinarian, firefighter, or any other vocation. Let’s find joy in all that we do during!

“Christmas Families” donations– Please post that in your house or car and remember to pick up some extra items at the grocery store to help those who struggle to have enough. Thank you for serving the Lord in this way! This week, Preschool-2nd Grade are donating paper towel rolls and kleenex. 3rd-8th Grade are donating 2-ply toilet paper. The week after Thanksgiving, Preschool-2nd Grade are donating dish soap, bar soap, and hand soap. 3rd-8th Grade are donating (Fragrance free and clear) laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. Following Thanksgiving break, we will be very busy preparing for the Christmas program. All students have their speaking parts by now, and should be learning them as memory very soon. Please help your child to memorize their part with good voice levels, intonation, and voice expression. This is a joyful time of year, and with that comes the great blessing of sharing the good news about Jesus.

Pastor Mueller led our chapel message teaching us the meaning of each verse in the advent hymn “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.” We learned that Jesus brings wisdom, he is our teacher, showing us the way to go. He came from the family tree of Jesse, and frees us from Satan....
