Chapel: Mrs. Schkade led our chapel today in reference to Psalm 96, Psalm 1, and Jeremiah 17. All of these bible passages refer to trees, which are everywhere throughout God’s Word! We see trees grown to give shade to Jonah, a tree to allow Zacchaeus to see Jesus, trees in the form of boats, perhaps in the form of a manger, and definitely in the form of a cross. We see trees used to make the ceiling of our beautiful sanctuary, and the pews we sit in. Trees are used as dead wood to hold life! God’s Word also tells us that we are blessed when we delight in the law. Now, this is not always an easy and exciting thing to delight in, especially when we consider all the rules we must follow. But when we obey God’s law we will be blessed, as the law is to help us to live according to God’s good and gracious will.
Hawaiian Bros: Come out to Hawaiian Bros for dinner to help support our school! A portion goes back to the school when you get dinner 4-9pm TONIGHT!
Geography Bee: Please ensure your child returns their permission by Monday, February 24th to participate in the school spelling bee held in the sanctuary on Tuesday, February 25.
Grandparents Day: Calling all grandparents and Very Important People to join us for a morning of fun activities to do together to honor your presence in our lives! We will have presentations, games, and crafts to enjoy with your grandchild. We would love to see you there!
Verse to remember: Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
