This week’s chapel was led by 8th grade as they taught us how to remember the meaning of the second article of the apostle’s creed. We were able to practice some American Sign Language and other movements as we learned the meaning of this portion of the creed. This section is entirely about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. This is the entirety of the Gospel in which we share with others. Perhaps incorporating movements to practice and memorize for memory work would benefit your child as they continue to learn scripture in their hearts. The second article is as follows:

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

Mornings are getting cooler! Please remind your children that outdoor jackets may be worn outside but not inside school. Only Hope hoodies/jackets are allowed inside the building.

Verse to remember: “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11
