The Kansas Department of Education will be releasing their reopening guidelines for schools on Friday, July 10th.
A task-force of will be meeting on Monday, July 12th, Tuesday, July 13th, and Monday, July 20th to develop plans for the 2020-2021 school year at Hope Lutheran School. The task force consists of:
- Administrative Assistant
- School Nurse
- Lead Preschool Teacher
- 4 Elementary Teachers
- 1 Middle School Teacher
- Chairman, Board of Christian Education
- Chairman, Board of Trustees
- 4 Parents
Topics to be discussed include: sanitation, social distancing, food service, extended school care, athletics, drop-off/pick-up, technology, reopening survey results, distance learning. The task force has been charged with developing a reopening plan that maximizes safety for our students and staff while maintaining our focus on Jesus and providing the high level of education you have come to expect from Hope.
If you haven’t filled out the school-issued reopening survey, please provide your input. The results of that survey will be used in the decision-making process.
