General Information

This week was the fourth week of band class and it was very successful! Thank you parents for getting your students here on time and thank you students for your enthusiasm in class. Parents, please continue to encourage your students to practice at home during the week! This time is vital for their growth as a musician and helps us learn more in class. If you have students wanting to take private lessons, please reach out so I can hopefully connect you with people in the area. I would love to do so.

Advanced Band

This week focused on scales and Veterans Day music. This is highly encouraged to be practiced at home. Bb major should still be practiced, but I have also added Eb major this week. Students can submit a video by email of the full scale through the thirds to be added to the leaderboard. 3 hours overall for each week is a good goal with any of the music.

Beginning Band

This week focused on book exercises and learning to read music while playing their instruments. Students should continue to practice the notes and exercises from class at home. We have gone through pg. 6 in their red books and had a mini check on no. 5. They should continue to practice these at home and can look ahead to pg. 7.
