General Information
Week 18 of class is now complete! This was our final week of band for the whole school year! I cannot believe how fast time has flown. Congratulations to everyone for all of the hard work you have put into learning your instrument this year!! I cannot wait for our performance tonight as it is going to be an excellent showcase of all we have learned this year. Parents, please make sure to read through your student’s section below for information about wrapping up the school year.
Announcement: Call time tonight is 5:15!! Please drop off/put your instrument together in the gym first THEN report to your classroom teacher.
Advanced Band
Congratulations for making it to the end of the school year!! I am incredibly proud of this group and all we accomplished this school year. I constantly was giving them more and more music and they stepped up to the challenge every time. There was never a doubt in my mind that we would be ready for every performance this year. We had the amazing opportunity to perform last semester at GlowWild at the zoo. I am looking at doing this again in the fall. This semester we had the opportunity to perform for some of my college professors and get amazing feedback and tips from them. This will hopefully help lead us into eventually prepping to going to band competitions in the future. These students have been a joy to work with and I wish our graduating 8th graders good luck in high school!! I cannot wait to see what we can do next year!
4/5 Grade Band
Congratulations for making it to the end of the school year!! This program was brand new this year so I was not sure how this would go, but these students stepped up to the challenge and were ready to learn. As we wrap up the year with our performance tonight, I have a couple last things to ask of you. I need all red books that belong to the school to be turned into me. We are using them in our performance so as long as they make it back up to the music room at the end of the night, I am fine with that. These count as student text books. They will have a number written in the inside front cover if they belong to the school.
5th Grade: Great job 5th grade! While band may no longer be required of you next year, I would love to have any or all of you play in the Advanced band next year! If you have questions about this, feel free to reach out to me! If your student has a school owned instrument, these need to be turned into me as well. Those in 5th grade are: Elidana and Oliver. Please make sure to leave them in the music room tonight.
4th Grade: Great job 4th grade! I look forward to having you guys again in the fall and seeing how much you continue to grow with your instrument! Even though they are playing again next year, I need all school owned instruments to be turned back into me. Those in 4th grade are: Rosalie, Lucy, David, and Harper. Please make sure to leave them in the music room tonight.
