Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our Reformation chapel! It meant so much to the students to have you there cheering them on! The class did a marvelous job of taking charge and really showing what they can do! This is a talented group for sure! To God be the glory! Thank you for sending the cans and boxes of food for the food drive! We added quite a few starries to our game board!
Grades 3 – 5 will be singing on Sunday, October 27th – so please mark your calendars!
On Thursday, October 30th, 3rd & 4th grade will be traveling to Science City for a fun day of learning! Students will need to dress in school uniforms and bring a sack lunch and drink along with them. Thank you to Steven Schebler, Marshall Kidd, and Laura Solt for your willingness to drive and chaperone for the day!
Student Raffle– We are having a raffle for the students as part of our Parent Auction for Hope this year. Each student will receive two raffle tickets for chances to win various items. Students may purchase extra raffle tickets for $1 each. See the 4th – 5th Scoop for more information!
ASL- American Sign Language Club will begin on Monday, October 28th! It will be held each Monday at 3:45 pm!
Reading- This past week we were able to finish chapters 1 – 6 of The Sign of the Beaver by Eliabeth George Speare – even with doing our chapel practices! We will take a Comprehension / Vocabulary Quiz over chapters 1 – 6 on Monday, October 28th. Please go over the Vocabulary words and meanings to help your child prepare for the test. Thank you! This up-coming week we will be reading chapters 7 – 18 and take a Reading Comprehesion / Vocabulary Quiz on Monday, November 4th.
Book-It began on Oct. 1st! Please use the calendar that was sent home to help your child record minutes of reading outside of school. Be sure you and your child sign the completed calendar. Then return the completed calendar by the end of the month. I will need the October calendars by Friday, November 1st to add your child’s name to the printed coupons! Your child will receive a coupon for a Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut for meeting the 600-minute monthly goal! Look for the November calendar to be coming home in the Thursday folder!
Don’t forget that Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the school parking lot on Friday, October 25th. Come visit the teachers’ Super Trunk!
