Carpet Crew Visit: Before chapel began, Mrs. Jankowski introduced Mr. Crawley and the carpet crew that did such a great job of moving our furniture and laying the beautiful new carpets in our classrooms!  The students signed a giant Thank You card for them, and Mrs. Jankowski gave them several big baskets of treats.

Chapel: Mrs. Jankowski led us in worship, and we focused on the word TRUST.  Mrs. Jankowski showed the students a video clip of her first skydiving adventure!  She trusted the pilot of the airplane, the trainer, and the construction of the parachute, but as she jumped, she looked down and felt afraid. Mrs. Jankowski then began to marvel as she viewed God’s creation. She trusted God to keep her safe!  She had a wonderful experience! In our Bible lesson Peter believed Jesus would help him walk on water, but when he looked down at the water, his fear overcame his trust in God.  Jesus reached out his hand and saved Peter in his time of weakness. We know we can rely on and trust in Jesus. Jesus never leaves us and will always help us.

Baptism Remembrance: Pastor told of a man who had served in WWII as a skydiver behind enemy lines.  Later, this same man was able to see his grandson baptized and dressed in a special garment. It was made from the silk of the parachute that the man had once trusted to save his life. Pastor went on to remind us that we are clothed with Christ when we are baptized. Pastor then remembered our baptisms and gave us each a special blessing.

Mite Box Collection Extended! We encourage all Hope students to fill their Mite Boxes and bring them to chapel on April 2nd.
