We truly enjoyed working on tying our blankets for the children at Children’s Mercy Hospital! Thank you so much to Janice and Jill for cutting fabric so that it was ready for tying! We have created cards to send along with the blankets. From April 7-12, our Hope students have the hands and feet of Jesus, serving local nonprofits while raising support for our school’s technology program. THANK YOU for shariing your child’s special website with family and friends and allowing them the opportunity to support our school and raise your child’s donation amount. All donations for the Serve-a-thon are to be in by Friday, April 18th. This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a chance to make a lasting impact in our community! With every act of service, our students will be a light to others, and in the spirit of giving, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to one of the nonprofits we serve.Together, we can inspire generosity in our students, transform lives in our community, and strengthen our mission to be a beacon to others. Our 4th grade class is hoping to raise $2,750 to help purchase a laptop and dock.Let’s make it happen! Students will receive individual prizes for the donations they receive. The class with the highest donation will also receive a Silly String fight with the principal. If our entire student body raises our goal of $33,000, we will have a Day Off of school on Friday, April 25th, which is our snow make-up day. Donations can be made using this link . https://hopelutheran.dojiggy.io/2025-serve-a-thon/Teams/Details
The students are busy planning for their International Fair projects. Each 4th grader is creating a diorama of a special landmark or famous place in France. The information and rubric was sent home in each child’s binder this week. Projects are due on Friday, April 25th. (If we reach our school-wide goal of $33,000 for the Serve-a-thon, we will push the due date of the project to Monday, April 28th.) Parents will receive a copy of the project information through email to use for reference. Thank you, parents, for all you are doing to support our activities for this busy quarter!
Student of the Week- VIP / Classroom Visits
Thank you to Sarah Guild for coming to share with the class and tell us more about Gabby! We enjoyed photos, stories, and Gabby’s famous homemade banana chocolate chip cake! It is so fun to see the parents’ and children’s faces light up with joy when they talk about their families! The entire class gains so much from this experience! Our 4th Quarter will go by quickly, and we want to be sure to honor each of our 4th graders and their VIP’s! Please use the Signup Genius link to set your appointment for your 4th grader’s VIP to come visit our classroom and honor your child as one of our Students of the Week! Please set aside one of the times offered and sign up to come into the classroom, share with the class about family, work, world travels, experiences, …and let us get to know you better!
