Chapel: Pastor Read from 1 Corinthians 15 in which Paul testifies to the resurrection of Jesus.  Several of the eighth grade girls acted out a play that depicted a possible conversation between the women as they approached the tomb of Jesus. At the sight of the empty tomb the women were questioning what had happened to Jesus’ body. 1.Jesus had not recovered from His wounds and simply walked away because he was mortally wounded; He had truly died. 2.  His body was not stolen by the disciples who were still hiding in fear, and besides, the tomb was heavily guarded. 3. The guards at the tomb were paid not to speak. 4. The women did not arrive at the wrong tomb because they knew the place and had watched the tomb be sealed. 5. No one ever found the corpse of Jesus. 6. 1 Corinthians 15 tells us that Jesus appeared to over 500 of His disciples, to His brother James, to the apostles, and to Paul.  Final Conclusion:  One fact remains:  Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died and rose again!   He is risen, indeed!  Alleluiah!
Verse to Remember: “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” – 1 Corinthians 15:20
