Newsletter For September 8th – 12th

September 3, 2025

This was a busy 4-day week with testing and all our Specials! The 4th graders are still needing lots of reminders to be prepared for Memory recitation on Thursdays and finishing classwork as homework to be turned in on time the next day. Short weeks make these routines harder to keep up with, but we are improving every day! We now have 5 butterflies and will soon have many more! We plan to release several with the 5th graders this week! We have our first Pep Rally, and will listen to our STUCO campaign speeches on Thursday! We are also looking forward to voting! See you this Saturday at the Fall Carnival.

FALL CARNIVAL– Saturday, Sept. 6th ( 6 – 8 PM)

Thank you to Mrs. Clancy and Mrs. Patch for your work on our 4th grade Booth! A huge thank you to everyone who has already signed up to help with our  Face Can Bean Bag Toss booth at the carnival this Saturday, September 6th!  We still have a few volunteer spots open and would love to see more friendly faces join us. Helping at the booth is a fun and easy way to start earning your mandatory volunteer hours while being part of the excitement. The game is super simple —  No experience needed, just help kids line up and cheer them on while they play!If you haven’t already, please take a moment to sign up for a shift our SignUpGenius link below:

Special Reading/Writing Project

The 4th graders should be finishing their special autobiography poster called “Extra, Extra, Read All About Me.” This assignment is in your child’s binder, but should be taken out and finished at home. The poster will serve as a book report/project and is due on Friday, September 12th. Please help your child to plan it out and be neat, accurate, and complete. The scoring guide is included in the Assignment Organizer. Your child must be the only one to write on or draw on the poster using pencil and colored pencil. Each child is allowed only one copy of the poster.

Parent / Teacher Conferences – Mandatory

As we near our first mid quarter, it is a great time for us to visit, ask and answer any questions we may have, and talk about up-coming events!  We are planning on having our Parent / Teacher Conferences on Thursday afternoon, September 18th and the morning of Friday, September 19th. Please use the Sign Up Genius link below to schedule your appointment. Thank you!

Please look for important information coming from our band director, Miss Rachel Beumer. Please email her with any questions or concerns you may have concerning band. What a joy to add instrumental music to our schedule this year!

How Best to Keep Informed-
