Newsletter For March 16th – 27th

March 11, 2026

We have had a very fun-filled celebration for Lutheran Schools’ Week! Thank you, parents, for helping your child to be prepared for the various special dress days, the Book Fair event, and for keeping up with homework! Thank you so much for allowing your child to worship with us this past Sunday to sing joyfully with us! We are especially looking forward to Grandparents’ Day on Friday, and of course – Early Dismissal and the beginning of Spring Break! If your child’s grandparent(s) are unable to attend, there are plenty of grandparents and volunteer grandparents to go around! Friday marks the end of 3rd Quarter already! Report Cards will be sent home on Thursday, March 26th. Please be sure to keep the report card, but please, sign and return the white Report Card envelope. We will use it one more time at the end of the school year. Thank you! Have a blessed and safe Spring Break!

Memorizing States and Capitals
We are sending flash cards home to be used to begin preparing for a final test of the 50 states and capitals, which will be announced next quarter. Please help your child practice the Northeast and Southeast states over the Spring Break. We will expect the flash cards to be cared for and placed back neatly in the boxes and ziplock bag provided. Please be sure the boxes and cards are not torn or bent. Please be sure they are stored in the box and bag when not in use. Students will be responsible for returning the cards they “checked out” on or before the end of the school year.
Memorizing and Reviewing Multiplication Tables
4th Grade students will be required to continue the taking the multiplication one-minute tests until each table has been mastered with a score of 100%. These math facts are essential to going on to 5th grade math instruction. Those who have mastered the facts will continue taking 100-problem tests to improve their speed. Thank you for helping your child meet this challenge and feel successful and prepared!
