Newsletter – September 16th – 19th

September 11, 2024

This was a busy week of STUCO campaigning and special activites! On Wednesday we honored the first responders and those who lost loved ones in the tragic events of 911. We talked about the events of the day and about what it means to be an American. We continue to hold our nation and those who were affected in prayer. We later enjoyed a presentation from Mrs. Schempp who kindly shared a slide show of her trip to Paris this past summer! We loved hearing all about it and seeing the various sights, landmarks, and Olympic venues! We were proud to see a picture of the raising of the American flag during a medals ceremony for our olympians. We are now so inspired to begin our research for our country of France in preparation for the Social Studies Curicculum Fair, which is coming up in the spring! We have completed all of the MAP testing and were able to concentrate very well! We have also begun earning Brag Tags for becoming great Christian leaders! We can’t wait to share our Autobiography Posters with our class on Friday, September 13th! Please be sure your child is prepared and has the completed poster at school on Friday. Our field trip to Ernie Miller Park is coming up on September 24th. The school uniform will be the dress for the day. Please send a sack lunch for the trip. We will leave school that day no later than 8:45 AM. Thank you Mrs. Hilt, Mrs. Griest, and Mrs. Pedersen for being our drivers for the day! If you haven’t already done so, please sign up for our up-coming mandatory Parent / Teacher Conference, which will be held on September 19th (Early Dismissal) and 20th (No School). Use the link below to find our 4th Grade sign up sheet. Due to the short week, we will not have a new spelling list for next week. See you this Saturday at the Fall Carnival and Pie Auction from 6 – 8 PM! Looking to Jesus, Mrs. Begley
