This past Tuesday the fourth graders had so much fun learning about Kansas history on our field trip to the Ernie Miller Nature Center! There we met a French fur trapper and voyageur, a French-Canadian trader, and a pioneer woman who each told their story of the past. We also played with toys the pioneer children would have had. Wednesday we participated in “Meet You at the Pole.” Our K-8 students gathered around the flagpole to say the pledges together. Our Student Council members led us in prayers for the leaders of our nation, community, church, school, and families. It was very moving to know that students around the country, both public and parochial, were praying along with us. To God be the glory! I enjoyed meeting with you for our Parent / Teacher Conferences this past week! I appreciate you for sharing your time, concerns, and insights with me and for your support and prayers. Thank you for entrusting your children to me. Picture day is coming up on Thursday, October 3rd. Be sure your child is wearing a uniform bottom and either a uniform shirt or shirt of choice. If your child wears dress clothes, please send the uniform to change into after pictures. Next week’s spelling list will be a review of words from the previous lists. We plan to have a Science Test on Friday, October 4th. Please look for the Review to come home on Wednesday and go over it with your child and review the definitions of the Science vocabulary. Thanks for all you do!
