Newsletter – September 14th

September 13, 2023

Dear Parents,

Thank you to everyone who attended Hope’s 40th anniversary carnival on Saturday! It was wonderful to celebrate our school’s ministry with you. We are so blessed to have your children at Hope.

Schedule:

September 21 – Mid-Term Parent Teacher Conferences – Early Dismissal K-8

September 22 – Parent Teacher Conferences – No School

September 24 – Bible Sunday – 2nd Grade

September 24 – 1st/2nd Grade Choir Sings 10:30 a.m. Service

The first and second grade choir will be singing at Hope’s 10:30 a.m. service on September 24th. Students should wear Sunday best and be at Hope by 10:20 a.m. The students will be singing after the sermon. You are welcome to stay for the service. Your child will sit with you until it is time to sing. We will gather at the front of the sanctuary when it is time for us to sing.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are next week. As a reminder, school will dismiss early on Thursday, September 21. There will be no school on September 22nd. We will meet in the first grade classroom for conferences. Here is the link to sign up for conferences: Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Up.

Thank you for utilizing the behavior binders! Please check the binders every day and then put them back in your child’s backpack for the next day.

This is the first week your child has reading homework. There will be a reading book with a bookmark in your child’s backpack each day. The bookmark lists the reading assignment for that evening. Your child should read the assigned pages out loud to you. Please initial next to the assignment after your child reads to show that they completed the homework. The assignment may also be listed in the behavior binder if we cannot find the bookmark.

School pictures will be taken on October 5th. More information will be available soon.

Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle every day. This helps your child stay hydrated and focused throughout the day.

Thursday folders will go home today. Please indicate your child’s Church and Sunday School attendance for the previous week on the front of the folder.
