Hope is looking to borrow games such as Connect 4, Tic-Tac-Toe, Bingo, Dominos, Scrabble, and Dot-to-Dot. If you would like to lend one of these games for the class to use during National Lutheran Schools’ Week please write your name in the game’s box and send it to school with your student. Your game will be returned at the end of National Lutheran Schools’ Week. Thank you for your help!

Family Game Night

Our Parent Teacher League is hosting a Family Game Night on January 30th! Order forms were sent out in Thursday folders if you would like to have a pizza dinner beforehand. Meals must be purchased in advance. Please join us for a night of board games and fun!

Open House

Open House nights will be held February 7th and 13th from 6-8 pm. On February 13th please come to school during Open House to meet next year’s teacher! See the attached poster below for more information.

Ash Wednesday Chapel

As part of this service on Wednesday, February 14th, the children may participate in the imposition of ashes.  If you do not want your child to participate, please let his/her teacher know.  The children do not have to participate if they do not wish to.  If you have any questions, please get in touch with the school office. Chapel service will be held in the sanctuary. Parents are welcome to attend.

Science Fair

Mark your calendars! The Science Fair is May 1st. Your child will need to develop a project and complete a scientific experiment. The project itself will be done at home, so please start thinking about some ideas. Use this great website to help you get started: www.sciencebuddies.org When the project is complete, they will display their writing, pictures, photos, and process for others to see. More information to come soon.
