Dear Parents,
Week at a Glance

This week in handwriting we are practicing writing different kinds of lines that make up the letter and numbers we write. In language class we are working on matching beginning blends and middle vowel sounds to their corresponding pictures. During religion we are learning about Abraham and God’s promises to him. For memory this week we learned the first commandment. In math we are learning addition strategies such as related addition facts and counting on to add. During reading we are working on short “i” sounds and the consonants “c”, “p”, and “n”. Our science lessons this week are about heat and energy. Our spelling words this week are focused on the short “i” sound. In social studies we are learning about addresses, landmarks, and celebrations.
