- December 1-5 – Spirit Week
- December 3 – K-2nd Grade Choir Sing at 4pm Advent Service- Staying through the end of the day,signing up on the balcony. Pick up students at 4:15 from concord hall. Just wear whatever was worn to school. Families are more than welcome to join us for church!
- December 7 – 6th-8th Grade Choir Sing and A Band Perform at 8am Service, K-5th (sunday best) Choir Sing and 4th-5th Grade Band Perform at 10:30am Service
- December 5-7 – Milt Brueggemann Hope Classic Basketball Tournament
- December 10 – Christmas Shop
- December 11 – Christmas Shop, K-2nd Christmas Program 6 pm
- December 12 – Skate City Spirit Night 5-7 pm
- December 19 – Sing-Along, Christmas Parties, Early Dismissal 12 pm NO ESC, End of 2nd Quarter, Teacher Work Day- Invite parents via newsletter.
- Dec. 22 – Jan. 2 – Christmas Break NO SCHOOL
Other Notes:
- Make sure to practice spelling and memory throughout the week.
- The K-2 choir has multiple performances during December. Your student is expected to participate in each performance.
- December 7 – K-2 Choir sings at Hope’s 10:30pm service
- December 11 – K-2 Christmas Program 6pm – Arrive in classrooms by 5:45.
- If your child is unable to attend any of these performances please contact Mrs. Heiss at heiss@hopelutheran.org.
- These performances are part of your child’s choir grade.
- We are singing on Sunday! The K-2 choir will sing at the 10:30 am church service on December 7th. Please have your child arrive at 10:15 am and meet in the Luther Room. Remember this does count toward their choir grade, so if you cannot be in attendance, please email Mrs. Heiss at heiss@hopelutheran.org.
- Please send your child with chapel offerings every Wednesday. During second quarter our offerings will be going to the Christmas Families. So far we have collected $319.80.
- Weather conditions continue to change and get colder. Please ensure your child brings a jacket to school to prepare for the day’s weather conditions. Per Hope’s recess policy, students must have an extra layer when the temperature is below 50 degrees. This must be a jacket, not a sweatshirt.
- Please label your child’s jacket with their name in case it is misplaced.
- The Milt Brueggemann Hope Classic Basketball Tournament is December 5-7. We need volunteers to help with this event. Please sign up at the following link: MBHC Volunteer Signups. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours as well as to connect with other Hope parents. Thank you for your support!
- HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS STORE – DECEMBER 12TH – 13TH
- Students will be able to shop for gifts for their loved ones! They may checkout with cash, e-gift card, or both.
- Our Holiday Shoppe will have gift items ranging from under $1 to $15 with most items costing $1 – $6.

- On December 11th students in grades K-2 will be participating in the Christmas Program at Hope Lutheran. The program starts at 6:00 pm, but all students should meet their teachers in their rooms by 5:45. The 8th graders will be hosting a dinner beforehand beginning at 4:45.
