Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to meet for conferences last week!
Week at a Glance
This week in reading we are beginning a new unit on traditional stories. Our language lessons will review suffixes, prefixes, and nouns. During math we will learn how to measure using meters. In science we will learn about habitats and identify which habitat might be best for an animal. Our religion lessons will be about Jesus’ presentation in the temple. In social studies we will work on map scales and learn regions of the United States. In handwriting we are practicing joining cursive letters together.
Schedule
No upcoming events for January.
Cleaning Wipes
Our classroom supply of cleaning wipes is running low. Please send in a container of Clorox wipes if you are able to help our classroom stay clean and healthy. Thank you to everyone who has sent in tissues! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Cold Weather
Please send your child with an appropriate jacket for each day’s weather. Students are not permitted to go out for recess if they are not adequately dressed with a warm jacket. Students may also bring gloves and hats to help them stay warm during this cold and snowy season.
Open House
Hope will have an Open House on Thursday, February 19th beginning at 5:30 pm. You are invited to meet next year’s teacher and see your child’s classroom for the upcoming year!
